It's been quite a while... A lot of things has happened since I last posted a blog so let's get right to it!
First of all I failed my Pre-Calculus class last semester of my first year, that was fun... NOT. I had to waste more than USD$500 to take it again on summer, thank God I had money saved from the FAFSA. That's when I came to the realization that 1 professor can really make a difference. I took the class again on summer with a very, very good professor. He loved to help us with any doubts and wanted us to pass the class, WHICH LUCKLIY I DID. I passed the class with a whopping A, YES an A in college where the heck do you see that? HAHA. Second of all I traveled to the USA, FINALLY since 2019. I had a wonderful summer. I got to meet new people from my Aunt's work. Everyone was an intern and most of them Puerto Rican which is a win for me but as always my anti-social ass is making it even harder to meet people if they don't talk to me first but that didn't ruined my mood for this summer because I finally had the chance to travel to NEW YORK and not by airplane but by TRAIN. I will give more details in an upcoming blog where it will cover my experience during this amazing summer. Stay tuned! Third of all, I started my second year with another amazing math professor for my Pre-Calculus 2 class. He loves to joke around while in class, always loves to help students like my summer math professor and always keeps the class entertained which is one thing that I love about him. While keeping the class entertained and most importantly ME, I can finally say that even without studying anything of the class for some WEIRD REASON, I managed to solve most of the math problems without any problems. I know right? Me Albert Einstein? HAHA. Anyways apart from all that it has been a great start to this second year of college. Haven't met new people but it's the beginning. We'll see what life has to offer for us this second year... So today I came to college thinking it was gonna be a normal day of class and wanted my math class to end as fast as possible. I meet with some friends in the cafeteria and started to hang out while class started. Soon after I left to go to my classroom. I arrive and suddenly there was nobody there, which I thought it was weird. So I decided to look around for the professor in case he switched classroom or was just late for class. Neither happened so I decided to left. I met with a classmate of mine from high school and she asked me what happened. I told her that there wasn’t anyone and she was wondering why as well as I. I decide to send a text message to the group chat and just as I thought this day couldn’t get any better they said there was no class. I was never informed, I guess I don’t have to suffer…
Later the day I met with a best friend of mine and we decided to hang out for a bit until my other class was up. We went into a computer lab to hang out and play some online games for a bit. We had lots of fun playing the most random games in existence. After that she had to leave to meet with a professor, so I decided to go to my classroom building but before I could a friend of mine meets me in the lab. He tells me that the professor from programming class posted the grades on Moodle, the school material thingy I don’t even know what it is, so I decided to check my grade… I PASSED THE PRETEST, which means I don’t need to take the exam and all I need to do is give him the homework he asked and I can be free on Thursday!!! Ok enough excitement there’s a class waiting for me… I walked to my other classroom and decided to hang out and wait for class. Once class started the profesor just said that today is for looking at your class grades and your last exam dates and decide whether you take the final or not. When I got my exam I just couldn’t believe it, I GOT A 92%. Now now let’s not get ahead of ourselves, in the class I had a lower grade which I believe it was a very low C which is why I got so excited to skip the final until I saw my class grade. My grade was a C of 75% I was like “okay not bad” then the professor checks how much do I need to earn in the final to get a B, I just need 75%. Now that’s a piece of cake! Today was an awesome day, I got so many good things out of it, I hope that I get good grades overall. All I need to do is the programming homework and a Spanish essay. Welp let’s see how it goes!!! So, I just had my math test today and things didn’t go as planned. I had to study topics like hyperbole, parabola, functions and the one I dedicated the most to was hyperbole and parabola because that one was the longest and the one that had more formulas and guess what… it never came.
Ok let me rephrase, it did came but only 1 exercise. And considering the fact that I need to pass this exam with C+ I don’t really see that happening. I was with so much positivity and hyped to pass this test until I saw it. My mood went down completely. I was stressed and trying to figure out how to do the things. Don’t get me wrong I did study functions but not so much. All I hope for is to get a C and not a D or F, I really need to pass the class. There is a final coming up in 2 weeks and I really need to get an A or B and that one I can’t fail at all. Let’s see what happens in this exam, and whether I need to dedicate full time on my final. Other classes can f*ck themselves some classes have more importance… Ah yes, nothing better than having 3 exams in a single week.
Today I just had my pre-test of coding class while having yesterday an exam in Digital Circuits course, oh and btw that isn't all, I also have a Math test tomorrow in which I can't get lower than a C+ due to the fact that on my first one I failed. Welp, I need to be studying for math today as much as I can. Right know it's 14:30 (2:30pm AST) and I haven't been able to study due to the fact that I had arrived 2 hours ago from college and was hungry as f*ck. I hope that I am able to concentrate since concentrating on something is very hard for me (no I don't have ADHD thank god, but I do have ADD LMAO). To be honest, I'm not even mad. The first year second semester is about to be over and I have officially been in college for a year. I can't believe how fast time went, I mean the last thing I remember was leaving my friend group in Highschool and going to college (since most of my friends are from a lower grade than me). I honestly want this to be all over because I really need a break. Although, in June, I start again college, not because I failed a class but because I wanna finish early. My goal is to finish in 4 years, not more, not less. I have most of my life planned apart from obtaining a job but I know that I will move out to the states, prob Virginia, and live with my Aunt while I work and help her pay rent. Well then, that's pretty much everything I wanted to say for today. See you in the next one! So, I have finally added a personal blog page. I plan to post here about interesting things of my daily life. TBH it may not be interesting all the time but I'll just be posting cool things including aviation content or just personal life such as college and vacations!
